For the last 8 years, Sympossio Greek Gourmet Touring has been traveling all around Europe, revealing the true taste of Greece. This year, SYMPOSSIO sets sail in the Islands of the Aegean
Onboard a small fishing boat, this year’s Sympossio will carry us across the Aegean sea, through the thousand large and small islands peppering the peaceful waterscape with rare colours, flavours and aromas.
For the Greek islander, eating patterns and habits have always been directly related to his livelihood and sustainability, and it is these eating rituals that have been held responsible for his long and healthy life.
In SYMPOSSIO 2017, we will discover hidden treasure chests—on fertile plains or mountainous terrains, underneath the water surface or alongside the shores—filled with rare ingredients and centuries-old recipes, and possibly unveil the islands’ secrets to longevity and wellbeing.
On our maiden voyage to the flavours of the Aegean, we will outline the “big picture” of the country’s island region, its challenges and particularities, but also its enormous contribution to Greece’s civilization and culture.
Sympossio will activelly support the Authentic Big Blue and Gastronomy Days Festival in Amorgos.
